St John's Park, Blackheath, London
The inside of the building other than the ground floor was almost totally destroyed in a fire. The structure was unstable, especially the rear wall which was “live”. The new construction renewed stability.

ImageThe interior of the structure was re-configured with new stairways to form self contained apartments, from a central core.

The soffit of the roof maintains the same shape as the exterior to form a two storey area at second floor with a platform above the service core.
