Ivy Conduit
This Conduit House was built c1514, for the water supply to Hampton Court Palace. This is now in the grounds of the Holy Cross School.

ImageIt is thought that the last work on the structure was completed C18.

Water was ingressing through the barrel and the chambers were also flooded with ground water.

A new drainage system introduced 2004 prevents flooding. Masonry repairs have been undertaken to rebuild part of the walls between the two chambers. Repointing and rough racking prevents water ingress through the barrel.

Imagein 2005 a further project is planned to relay the floor. Also excavation of the inner chamber is planned.
