Yew Tree Hall House
Of Hall House origin, this C16 or earlier house had been rendered with sand and cementat the front hiding the timber frame.

Front Under Reconstruction
On inspection the sole plate and the bottom of posts and studs were found to be rotten.

Further investigation revealed that it was the render which was supporting the front and that the rot was more wide spread, up to the first floor and top of corner posts.

Listed Building consent was obtained to repair the timber frame. A new oak sole plate was introduced and new oak scarfed to the bottom of posts and studs. Lime render was used to infill the frame.

Work completed mid 2010.

Private client.
