St Bartholomews Church
This ruined Grade II*, C17 church near Buntingford, Leyston, Herts. has not been used for approximately 65 years.

The client has gained planning permission to convert the church in to a single dwelling.

Flint and brick garage complete prior to commencement of church
As part of the planning application a report had to be provided, indicating the structural repairs required to the fabric and also to indicate the proposed new works for the conversion.

Vault (crypt) construction started September 2011
At present there is no roof to the nave. It is proposed to provide the bedrooms within the new roof above the nave and it is also proposed to provide a semi basement under part of the nave with the raised area of the living part of the house, looking over the chancel.

Garage block complete.

Reinforced concrete to semi basement commenced September 2011. 

Detailed drawings have been prepared for Building Regulations.

Archaeology has been addressed prior to project commencement.
