House In The Dockyard, Sheerness
The four storey superintendents house had been converted for use as an office and many of the original Georgian features were damaged, however not destroyed. It has been therefore possible to reconstruct the interior authentically.

Building scaffold

One chimney had collapsed and another partially collapsed, therefore it was agreed that all four chimneys should be rebuilt.

Two roof trusses were rotten at the ends and collapse was imminent. These were strengthened, using traditional and modern techniques.

A lift is being installed, within the existing building.

As the building was constructed on timber piles, as the land is reclaimed, the R.C. lift pit has been suspended, supported on the existing structure.
