After collapse of over 50% of the Gate House, the remainder has been supported by scaffold for many years.

The proposal is to rebuild the collapsed building.

A reinforced concrete frame will be clad in stone to give the appearance of the historic structure, with the longevity of a modern structure.

Consolidation of the remaining structure has been undertaken. Rebuilding commenced June 2009.
